How we handle your data at Arkyn Helados, transparently and with respect.
At Arkyn Helados we care about your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit arkyn.com.ar, for what purpose, on what legal basis and how you can exercise your rights. Applies to both our shops (Buenos Aires, Argentina and Málaga, Spain).

🇪🇸 Spain: shop at Calle Luis Carreras 16, Málaga. The data collected there is currently the responsibility of the same Argentinian company, which operates the system; once the Spanish company is incorporated, its registered name, NIF and address will be published here.

2.What data we collect
- Browsing data: pages visited, device, browser and how you interact with the site (through analytics cookies, only with your consent).
- Approximate location by IP: to show you the nearest shop automatically (Buenos Aires or Málaga). We only check it if you accept cookies.
- Data you give us: when you write to us on WhatsApp or by email, or through the business quote form (name, company, phone, email and the content of your message), or when you join Club Arkyn (name, phone, email and, if you give them, your birthday month and your ID number, with your express consent).
- Contacting businesses: if your company provides events, catering or hospitality services, we may write to the business address published on your website or public listing to introduce our B2B offer. We record that the message was sent, whether it bounced and whether the brochure was opened from the link in the email itself. We do not use open-tracking pixels.
3.Purpose and legal basis
We use your data to: measure and improve the site, show you relevant content, remember your preferred shop, handle your orders and enquiries and, if you are a Club Arkyn member, to keep track of your points and rewards and send you news (including the birthday treat, if you told us your month). The legal basis is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR in the EU) and, for Argentina, Law 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data. Essential cookies and handling your enquiries are based on the legitimate interest of operating the site.
Contacting businesses relies on legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) to offer our products to businesses in the sector, and is limited to professional data. Every message explains how to opt out, and replying BAJA is enough to stop receiving them.

5.Third parties that may process your data
- Google (Analytics) — privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram Pixel) — privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- ipapi.co (IP geolocation) — privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- Google Places API (reviews): we show the rating and the public reviews of our shops. The request to Google is made by an Arkyn server, not by your browser: Google does not receive your IP address or any data about your visit.
- Supabase (Arkyn's own system database): if you join Club Arkyn, your details and your points are kept in our own system, not on a mailing platform. Every message we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your record whenever you like — privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- WhatsApp (Meta) when you choose to message us through that channel, and delivery platforms (Rappi, Glovo) when you click through to order from them; each with its own policy.
6.Data retention
We keep analytics and marketing data for the period configured in each tool (by default up to 14 months in Google Analytics) and the data from your enquiries for as long as we need to help you. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
7.Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, as well as withdraw your consent, by messaging us on WhatsApp or writing to our contact email. If you feel we have not resolved your request, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the AEPD in Spain (aepd.es (opens in a new tab)) or the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP) in Argentina (argentina.gob.ar/aaip (opens in a new tab)).
8.How to manage cookies in your browser
As well as our banner, you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Bear in mind that disabling some of them may affect how the site works.
9.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal changes or changes to our tools. We will always publish the current version on this page, with its update date.
